Music Theater Business Plan

March 3, 2023 By JamesCall Leave a Comment

Music Theater Business Plan

Family Fair, Incorporated plans to buy the Market Plaza Theater, and turn it into the “Market Plaza Showplace” (Showplace), a live entertainment center in Trinity, Texas’ densely populated Market Plaza neighborhood. Family Fair plans to restore the historic landmark, which is situated amongst the Market Plaza Business Center’s many shops and restaurants. There is no operation of this type in the immediate area, and live entertainment available in the community is limited to local clubs and bars.

The Showplace offers high-quality entertainment in an elegant, charming and clean environment. The Showplace will provide family-friendly entertainment for those who otherwise would have to travel to other cities.

It will produce immediate cash and excellent returns for its shareholders. Revenues projected in this plan are based conservatively on two regular shows per week and a minimum of special events. No revenue is projected for special artist showcases, weekday “Branson, Missouri” type productions, or holiday season special presentations. Other than the revenue generated from regular showcases and private events, the facility will be advertised to large companies for special corporate events. The facility will also be used for audio and video recording services and sponsored broadcasts.

Family Fair’s Executive Team has the expertise, experience and dedication to make it a successful venture. It will quickly be a popular entertainment venue in Southwest and gain national exposure. An appendix includes financial information.

1.1 Mission

Family Fair, Inc. is a producer of high-quality, affordable entertainment at the Market Plaza Showplace. It offers family-oriented live entertainment in private functions that are accessible to all who don’t want to travel far to enjoy similar activities. It generates cash immediately and makes a great profit. It creates a glamorous, rewarding environment for employees. It also provides excellent returns to its owners.

1.2 Objectives

  1. Launch the venue by holding a grand opening event.
  2. To make a healthy net profit within the first year.
  3. To double gross revenues in the second-year of operation.

Music Recording Distribution Business Plan

March 3, 2023 By JamesCall Leave a Comment

Music Recording Distribution Business Plan

Youth will be served. There will be youth served! Heavy Metal Praise Records will focus only on recording Christian Heavy Metal performers, promoting their success in the popular mainstream of Punk and Ska music.

1.1 Objectives

  1. Two new Heavy Metal bands will be signed and recorded in the first one year.
  2. Release the first CD by each group in the first one year.
  3. A strong distribution network will be necessary to facilitate CD sales.
  4. To ensure that our music is distributed as widely as possible, it is important to establish strategic alliances.

1.2 Mission

The idea of Heavy Metal Praise Records is the brainchild of a group of dedicated Christians who created the Skate Ministry over three years ago. Skate Ministry is a group made up of 10 adult skateboarders. They share the gospel with young skateboarders at different skate parks in the area. Most of these young men are aged between 12 and 18. Heavy Metal is the most popular music in the Skateboard Culture. It can be heard at every local skatepark. The group realized from the start that the music was promoting selfishness, violence and negative behaviors among skateboarders.

Heavy Metal Praise is a ministry that introduces Christian Heavy Metal bands and preaches the gospel message to young people.

1.3 Keys for Success

  • Delivering Heavy Metal acts that the target audience will love.
  • You can access the music and distribution networks that provide Heavy Metal artists with music for the skate culture.
  • Get access to the distribution network for traditional Christian music that will offer a ready-made customer base for Heavy Metal Praise Records artists.

Music Recording Producer Business Plan

March 3, 2023 By JamesCall Leave a Comment

Music Recording Producer Business Plan

Mt. Hood Records is an unusual, but viable business model for a record company. Hillary MacQuilliams founded the company as an Oregon LLC. The business promotes several Portland bands and all share a common element of improvisation.

Industry Analysis

A few large corporations are the dominant players in the retail record market. These corporations account for 87% in total CD sales. Indie labels account for 8% of CD sales. They are a less commercialized version of large corporations. The remaining 5 percent is controlled by a mixture of record label companies. Most labels follow a shotgun approach for sales. They sign up many different bands, hoping that one of them is successful. Record companies are able to make huge profits by signing up bands that are commercially successful. Indie labels work in a similar way, but are more selective and are not always open to commercially viable bands.

Products and Services

Mt. Hood Records is an independent record label based in Portland that caters to a select few Portland-based bands. Mt. Hood Records was founded on the belief that it will be more effective for long-term sustainable growth if the label only signs up a handful bands and promotes them equally than signing up a large number and hoping one of them is a commercial success. This approach is appealing to only a few bands. This allows the band to have a more personal and focused label. Bands are aware that the label will only promote a handful of bands and they won’t be forgotten in the shuffle.

The Model for Business

This record label will need a lot of hard work and little revenue for the first year to be successful. This can be quite hard for many businesses to accept. Mt. Hood Records has made it a point to set realistic expectations upfront and not have future surprises. Additionally, the investors (friends and family) are aware of these parameters and have given their blessing. This will require a lot of effort, but it is possible with reasonable expectations and the right management to execute the business model.

Management

Mt. Hood Records has been founded and will be run by Hillary MacQuilliams. Hillary is a veteran in the music industry. Hillary started her college career with 180 South, and went on tour immediately after. Hillary and her band formed their own record company to self-release a studio CD. Hillary knows that this was not an attempt to make a record company work. It was more of a novelty to have started a label and released their own CD.

Hillary enrolled in law school after the tour. It was very difficult to find law job opportunities after graduation. Hillary became frustrated with the lack of success in her job searches and decided to try her luck in the music business because of her passion. After doing extensive research, she developed a business plan that would be long-lasting by creating a local record label. Mt. Hood Records.

1.1 Objectives

  • Within three years to become the leading local music label.
  • At least five groups must be signed within the first three-years.
  • Within three years, achieve profitability

1.2 Mission

Mt. Hood Records is a locally-based record label. Its mission is to promote local musicians, increase live appearances, record sales, and create awareness for them. Mt. Hood Records was established to promote the bands it represents and make a fair profit.

1.3 Keys to Success

  • Promote promising bands.
  • You should not sign up to too many bands.
  • Have fun while working hard

Theatrical Music Producers Business Plan

March 3, 2023 By JamesCall Leave a Comment

Theatrical Music Producers Business Plan

Introduction

This may need a little introduction. It is not your standard music business plan. You may find it a little unconventional and a little more flashy than others, but you know what? I bet you read it. It&#8217, while slightly different and innovative, is definitely creative. We had difficulty adhering to the formal approach. So, instead of slightly breaking any rules of “business plan etiquette”, we either altered it a bit or made our own. It works well for us; we wonder if it will for you.

I am constantly struck by how interconnected we are all as individuals living in a shared world. How much do we truly consider one another? Is it possible that each person’s journey is a different one? Can I help make your journey smoother? Can you do that for me? Is it easier to take care only of yourself? Funny thing is, even if we choose a solitary path, the ripples from just our thoughts, let alone our actions, are enough to touch someone or something else. Although we may sometimes feel like we are alone in a chaotic world, we are not. We are vibrant, creative, expressive people constantly contributing to the various components of life’s &#8230. And so we create our own world. We wanted our Business Plan and you to reflect that.

Every Little Now and Then…

“Someone or some thing comes along that makes you sit up and pay attention. Something that touches our hearts on a deeper level than just routine. Pay attention. It could be something.

Edgar Risk Ventures, Ltd., was founded as an entertainment distribution, production, and performance business. They specialize in the use and maximization entertainment business opportunities that are available through digital satellite radio services, the worldwide reach and affordability of the Internet, as the middle marketplace and consumers of the music market.

Let’s be clear. The music business plan’s balance might not conform to all the professional etiquette rules. On the one hand, we have had a lot of experience and learned lessons that can be used to help us find the right paths and lessons. A good Business Plan can provide unquestionable value and clarity. Ours, we think, is a dandy but is not the expected ‘stuffy’ treatise. The proof, however, is whether it accurately describes, foretells and transmits the focus and objectives of the company itself. Time will tell, we assume, but perhaps you can judge for yourself if the following ‘rings true’ and holds significance for you.

Objectives

We ask that you allow us some creative freedom to tell our story using the words that are most comfortable for us.

How to Make Use of It

All of the sounds we hear, our existence, our cadence, our lives, and our melodies are all represented, enveloped, molded, and embodied through a variety of musical expressions. Music touches every part our lives. It can give us hope when we despair or ecstasy during times of passion, victory in battle, and courage when we face conflict. No, we don’t plan to write, produce and perform the next great musical on Broadway. Yes, we do plan to provide some of the finest music you’ll find just about anywhere. We aren’t looking for stardom; most of the people involved in our company have been there at some point. We intend to provide music you can live by, love, cry over, laugh at, and sing along. We focus on reality. If you don’t get what we are saying, it is one person reaching out for another. There just are those special voices, those incredible songs, those amazing musicians, those undeniably charismatic entertainers who reach into our souls and make us sit up and take notice. One person may fall under the spell a country ballad while another will tap their toes to a bluegrass song. Yet another will belt out the lyrics to a classic pop tune, while still another will drift into Dixieland jazz. It’s amazing!

The magic and beauty of music knows no borders…it erases them.

Our goal is simply to create the business entity which will manage our extraordinary group of talented individuals’ activities to produce, distribute, perform and market musical offerings through traditional channels of distribution, internet access, digital satellite networks, and traditional avenues. We also occasionally perform live. We will do this in specific ways to achieve specific results, project by project.

1. Edgar Risk Ventures, Ltd., would be established by the start of the Fall Year 1 in a fully-functional office that has full Internet access, digital skysat licensing/access, and integrated equipment/personnel infrastructure to accommodate its project needs.

2. By early Fall Year 1, Edgar Risk Ventures, Ltd., will be fully insured, bonded and indemnified to perform the myriad responsibilities involved with the production of music, the packaging for sale of that music and the occasional performance of music.

3. Edgar Risk Ventures, Ltd., expects to have four separate projects ready for production by the start of the Fall Year1.

4. By the end of Year 1, Edgar Risk Ventures, Ltd., will have at least four projects in production or packaged and released into the realm of ‘air play’ and/or market access.

5. Edgar Risk Ventures, Ltd., is expected to be receiving returns from at least six-to nine completed projects —“living in the music industry – whether these are via Internet distribution, digital satellite exposure, or live performances – by mid-Year 2, and beyond.

6. By the end of Year 3, Edgar Risk Ventures, Ltd., will be receiving a return from a total of twelve new and all previous projects still ‘living’ in the music marketplace.

Keys to Success

1. The organization of creative efforts into project formats, which allows each project to be funded, developed, maintained and tracked in accordance with its specific requirements.

a. This service provides the #8216umbrella protection and licensing #8217 from Edgar Risk Ventures while allowing each project to continue its unique existence.

b. Each project becomes a viable revenue source for Edgar Risk Ventures, dependent upon its own success and market worthiness.

c. This multi-project structure allows for an array of efforts and applications to maximize the potential of each market through individual project.

d. This arrangement also minimizes the risk of each project for Edgar Risk Ventures due to the separate funding secured each project.

2. Develop multiple avenues to visibility for Edgar Risk Ventures by strategic contacts and Internet presence.

3. Strategic utilization of the unique pool production and performance talent is an integral part of Edgar Risk Ventures’s personnel.

4. Excellence and commitment woven into every finished product and performance, thus creating the integrity Edgar Risk Ventures, Ltd., shall possess.

Mission

Edgar Risk Ventures, Ltd., offers individual artists the opportunity for recorded performance (CDs, tapes), market distribution, digital satellite air play, traditional air play, Internet marketing and exposure, and market return.

Edgar Risk Ventures, Ltd., gives consumers of the digital market, the Internet electronic-commerce market, or the live performance and recording market the opportunity to acquire high-quality, professionally performed, expertly prepared, efficiently distributed music products. This includes many genres, such as country, bluegrass, pop, rock, jazz, and even religious.

Edgar Risk Ventures, Ltd., provides investors with a plan for a return-on investment opportunity. It offers production, distribution, and performance projects in individual format plans. These projects ‘#8216’ live as separate entities. However, they have the support of Edgar Risk Ventures. These projects ‘live’ as long as the project is viable and enduring.
