Agriculture Fruit Farm Business Plan

Agriculture Fruit Farm Business Plan

Problem & Solution

Problem Worth Solving

People want vegetables and foods with high nutritional values and great taste. The national diet is a disaster. Our obesity problem is very serious.

Our Solution

We use present and future agricultural technology to produce organic, tasty, and nutritional vegetables. We start with an existing farm which has been custom-innovated. We add horticultural technologies to produce strawberries. This will allow double the utilization of the climate controlled overhead.

Target Market

Competition

Current Alternatives

Alabama is one of the premier farming areas of the eastern United States. This creates an intensely competitive environment with a large number of industry participants. Because almost all produce is commodities and large-scale buyers are more organized than farmers, overall margins are low and competition for wholesaler contracts is fierce. Three major segments are at risk from competitive threats:

  • Imported vegetables of lower quality.>
  • Mississippi pound raised vegetables.
  • Alabama vegetable producers.

Three farms from the immediate area compete for direct buyers in the individual market segment. They are the Anniston and Organics-To-You farms, as well as the Terrance Livingston vegetable garden. Each of these rivals has produce stands that they sell to local farmers&#8217s’ markets. The exception is Organics-To-You Farm. All the other competitors are focused on a niche and heavily dependent on federal subsidies.

Our Advantages

Farmers Group is committed to maximizing the use of current and future agricultural technology in the production and sale of vegetables. The acquisition of a profitable vegetable farm and all the custom-innovated equipment necessary will give the company a significant competitive edge in the industry. Additional use and utilization of horticultural technologies in the production strawberry will enable double the utilization of the climate controlled portion of the overhead. Farmers Group hopes to consolidate considerable goodwill already created by exercising the option of not adding another high-production facility to the present supply-demand scenario.

The company&#8217’s goals for the first year were:

  • Plan for the future.
  • Green Acres vegetable garden system can be relocated, expanded and made operational.
  • Incorporate greens culture into your system.
  • The composting system must be in full production by the beginning of the second year.

The company plans to replace the least profitable products with practical, cost-efficient products in the long-term.
