The motto at Rockwall ISD is “Common Purpose – Unified Effort.” It takes hundreds of dedicated people to bring the common purpose to fruition each day in the lives of children. Professional educators, administrators and staff members have chosen the education field and Rockwall Schools to express their dedication to excellence. The Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) provides a way for the public to evaluate the educational performance of the District and of each campus in relation to the other schools in the state of Texas. Indicators evaluated in the ratings include Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores, attendance and dropout rates, and other factors.
The four possible accreditation/accountability ratings assigned to schools by the Texas Education Agency are: Exemplary, Recognized, Acceptable, or Unacceptable. Few schools are designated Exemplary by the state.
