Making the Grade
You may be interested in knowing how Rockwall ISD lines up with other districts. The Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) provides a way for you to evaluate the educational performance of the District and of each campus in relation to other schools in Texas. The District’s Accountability Rating for the 2008-2009 school year is Recognized. We’re proud of our performance, and are constantly striving to improve all aspects of education.
The Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) provides a way for the public to evaluate the educational performance of the District and of each campus in relation to the other schools in the state of Texas. Indicators evaluated in the ratings include Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores, attendance and dropout rates, and other factors.
The four possible accreditation/accountability ratings assigned to schools by the Texas Education Agency are: Exemplary, Recognized, Acceptable, or Unacceptable. Few schools are designated Exemplary by the state.

Residents south of I-30, west of Hwy 205, and north of a line from FM 3097/ Buffalo Creek (the creek) /FM 1139 except Lake Rockwall Estates area.
Amy Parks – Heath Elementary School
Residents of Heath west of Buffalo Creek (the creek), south of FM 550 and west of Hwy 205 to the district’s southern boundary.
Celia Hays Elementary School
Residents east of SH205 to RISD’s northern boundary, north of Squabble Creek to Cornelius Road, east to Camp Creek, south to Hwy 66, east to Ben Payne, south to railroad tracks, east to Brandy Creek to the district’s easternmost boundary.
Doris Cullins-Lake Pointe Elementary School
Residents west of Lake Ray Hubbard to the southern, western and northern district boundary lines. Most of these boundaries follow the Dallas and Collin County lines. Refer to district maps for exact boundaries.
Dorothy Smith Pullen Elementary School
Residents south of I-30 (from the lake to Horizon Road & FM3097) to the Heath city limit; residents of Rockwall Lake Estates #2 (Country Home Estates) on the west side of Yvonne Street and streets west of Yvonne Street; residents south of a line formed by County Line Road and FM 1139; north of FM 550, east of Buffalo Creek, and west of Hwy 205.
Dorris A. Jones Elementary School
Residents south of I-30 and east of Hwy 205 including Meadowcreek Estates and Lofland Farms to Hwy 549; north of Hwy 276 to I-30 to the east boundary of Rochell Road; and residents in an area bounded by Hwy 205, FM 1139, the east side of Yvonne Street and Buffalo Creek (the creek).
Grace Hartman Elementary School
Residents north of Hwy 66 whose streets intersect with Lakeshore Drive northwest of Highview Lane, south of Squabble Creek, north of East Fork Drive (North Alamo Street), and west of Hwy 205.
Howard Dobbs Elementary School
Residents north of I-30 to Squabble Creek, east of SH 205 to the city limit line, east of FM 1141 to property south of Cornelius Road and east to Camp Creek, and south of SH 66 to Ben Payne; and south and east of railroad tracks to Brandy Creek.
Nebbie Williams Elementary School

East to northern most boundary, south to Highway 66, west of North Lakeshore Drive, north to East Fork Road (formerly North Alamo), east to Hwy. 205, north to areas north of Quail Run and Clem Road to the easternmost boundary excepting the area north of Clem, east of FM1141 including Orchard.
Herman E. Utley Middle School: Residents north of I-30, east of Lake Ray Hubbard to Hwy 66 and then east of North Lakeshore Drive, south of East Fork Road and intersecting Hwy 205. Residents north of I-30, east of Hwy 205, south of Quail Run, then south and east of Quail Run in an imaginary line to FM 1141, north on FM 1141 to Quail Run, east to Orchard, south to Clem Road to the easternmost boundary of the district.
