Safe Keeping was created through extensive research to address the public’s concern about property protection. John Walter has been in law enforcement over 20 years. His last five years were as a commander for a burglary unit at the Eugene Police Dept. Safe Keeping will be able to enter businesses and private homes and make a videotape of all the contents.

We will also serve as consultants to assist people in protecting their property. All videos are confidential. A copy of each video will be kept in a vault at the business. Starting expenses include a video camera, which costs $4,000 John Walter will finance the start-up expenses. Safe Keeping’s target markets strategy is to become a desirable choice for private homeowners as well as businesses in the Greater Eugene and Springfield areas.

Small to large businesses will be our target market. They are looking for documentation about their belongings to help with insurance. We will also target private homeowners with the same services. We strive to be the best in customer service and security knowledge.

John Walter will maintain the website, which was designed and developed by an external consultant. The website will show what services we have to offer and what the associated costs will be. John Walter, owner of the business, will be responsible for all aspects including bookkeeping and overseeing Joe Norten, one employee. John will act as a consultant to homeowners and businesses regarding security issues.

Safe Keeping expects a 10% increase in sales for year 1, which will result in more than $116,000 in total revenue. This is a new market for the security industry and Safe Keeping is thrilled to serve the Eugene, Springfield residents in the coming years.

1.1 Objectives

  1. Realize an annual growth rate of 10% in Year 2.
  2. Aim to maintain a minimum gross margin of 40% per month.
  3. Achieve an average annual sales volume of $116,000 within the first year.
