Introduction

Vashon Solicitation Services’ mission is to provide 24 hour call center services for clients. We provide a service that gives our clients the best chance of communicating with customers. We do B2B and B2C services including both inbound and outbound calls. We have a well-trained team of customer service specialists who can deliver excellent services in a timely and economical manner.

VSS has the staff to help you with your customer service needs.

The Company

VSS will be a limited-liability partnership that is registered in Delaware for tax purposes. Its founder is Mr. Martin Gibbs, a former telemarketing head with Medfone, Inc. Mr. Gibbs has brought together a highly respected group of telemarketing and customer relations specialists who have a total of 35 years of combined experience with this industry.

The company only has a small number private investors. The company’s main office is located in Gig Harbor, Washington. These facilities include conference rooms, offices, and a telephone center. The company hopes to offer services by June 1, 2001.

The Services

Vashon provides both outbound and inbound call center services. We provide bilingual services in both english and spanish. Our most popular services are:

  • Generate sales leads
  • Set appointments
  • Market research
  • Surveys (including analysis of statistical data and political surveys).
  • First level help desk
  • Information about databases or mailing lists
  • Business development
  • Point-of-sale product promotion
  • Seminar and conference invitations

VSS isn’t a telemarketing firm and does not create marketing campaigns on behalf of our clients. The experience has shown that many companies would like to create their own campaigns since they already have the marketing personnel who are well-versed in the industry.

The Market

The telemarketing sector is on the rise with most companies reporting an annual growth rate between 6.5% and 8.8%. Businesses are increasingly conscious of the importance of market information and the need to lower customer turnover in an economically difficult economy. This industry has seen a significant shift in the way clients prefer to outsource their telemarketing functions to clients rather than developing this infrastructure internally. VSS sees this as an opportunity. However, long-term analysis of growth rates in this industry show a cyclical pattern and VSS does not expect this high growth rate to continue.

VSS intends to enter two markets. First, we will work in the medical services industry since they have a high need to maintain contact with their patients at all times. We will also work as a first-level help desk for small high-tech businesses and take on short-term projects like surveys from small clients.

Financial Considerations

Tables accompanying the Start Up Summary topic provide information on the start-up assets needed. This includes expenses as well as the cash needed for operations to reach a satisfactory level of revenue. Most of the company’s liabilities will come from outside private investors and management investment, however, we have obtained current borrowing from Bank of America Commercial Investments, the principal to be paid off in two years. A long-term loan through Charter Bank of Tillamook will be paid off in ten years. If we need it, we have a Viking Bank credit line that can be accessed.

The company expects to reach profitability in year two and does not anticipate any serious cash flow problems. The company believes that three monthly contracts will be enough to guarantee break-even within the first three year.

Vashon’s keys to long-term survivability and profitability are:

  • Make long-term agreements that include monitoring or emergency services.
  • To maintain a close relationship with clients and to establish a long-lasting, productive relationship with them in order to generate repeat business.

  • We provide a complete service experience to our clients, including consultation, progress reports, and post-program feedback.
  • 1.2 Mission

    VSS is committed to providing our clients with 24 hour call center services. This will allow them to have the most effective communication with customers. Both B2B- and B2C service are available, with both inbound or outbound calls. We have a highly skilled and trained team of customer support specialists who are able provide outstanding services that are both timely and cost-effective.

    Whatever a client’s customer relations goals are: quantifying sales leads, taking orders, responding to ad inquiries, market research, or general information requests, VSS has the people with the expertise to professionally service your needs.

    1.3 Objectives

    Vashon SOlicitation Services LLC (VSS), aims to achieve the following three-year targets:

    • Break-even achieved by year 2.
    • At least four clients should be signed up for long-term agreements.
    • To establish long-term relationships, build trust and promote word of mouth marketing with our clients, you need to ensure minimum 95% customer satisfaction.
